This afternoon I want to talk to you about someone in the Bible whose name is well known, but is rarely the subject of a sermon.  I am talking about Mary Magdalene.  

And I know that by just the mention of her name some of you have already put to work in your mind some preconceived notions, but I am going to ask for you to set all of them and stay with me, I just want to talk to you briefly about how Satan can have you so tangled up, that he has you counted out, but God. 

First let me say that all throughout the Bible there were many Marys.  But this Mary was distinguished from the others as her surname is always mentioned simultaneously with her first name.  Her surname was likely connected to the town of Magdala which is where she was from.  This town was a wealthy community that thrived in the textile industry.  www.BibleDeliverance.org
