CRITICIZE ME!

You know so many of us live our lives not wanting to be criticized and even get angry when we are criticized, not realizing that critics are sometimes used by God for two things:  one to confirm that we are walking out our divine purpose and two to sharpen us for greater.

The very word, “criticism” gets a bad rap as it is always associated with a negative perspective.  When the truth is, we just have to be diligent about filtering criticism, determining what is being said is it to elevate, discipline or desecrate.

Proverbs 15:31-33 tells us, “if you listen to constructive criticism, you will be at home among the wise.  If you reject discipline you only harm yourself, but if you listen to corrections, you grow in understanding.  The scripture goes on to give this piece of advice…. Fear of the Lord teaches us  and humility precedes honor.

Meaning that we are to measure all things by the principles and righteousness of God, not afraid to humble ourselves.  It's these two things that will exalt us in honor.

Please know you can avoid criticism and here are 3 sure-fire ways to do that: 1. Do nothing 2. Be nothing 3. Say nothing

You will never fulfill God’s ordain purpose for your life fixated on avoiding criticism.  Wisdom is exalted when we learn to embrace criticism without pride and replace all our defense mechanisms with honesty, love, forgiveness and a sense of humor.  Yes, be willing to sometimes laugh at yourself as you use criticism to better yourself.

God uses people to pour into our lives, to sharpen our dullness, to shape what is disfigured, and to mold us into His masterpiece.  But the problem with most of us is that we would rather be ruined by the praise of others, than saved by the criticism of few.  Criticize Me!
