Always Too Soon To Quit

Perseverance is godly and should be a principle in a believer’s life.  Perseverance doesn’t need public approval and could care less about being politically correct.

Perseverance ia  rooted in Matthew 17:20 which will make those who refuse to say “mountain get out of my way” knowing that nothing is impossible for them to believe.
Perseverance will look to Rom 8:31 and remember “if God be for you who can be against you” There is nothing half-hearted or lukewarm about perseverance, it's bold, it’s daring and it's fearless.

Perseverance is Nehemiah rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem when powerful men organized a slander campaign to stop the building project.  When slander could not stop Nehemiah they began to ridicule him.  Finally when slander nor ridicule drove him to quit, they threatened to kill Nehemiah.

Nehemiah passed out swords to half his men and bricks to the other half.  He made it clear he was ready to fight to the death.  The wall was rebuilt to the glory of God through the power of perseverance.

The Apostle Paul taught on the power of perseverance as he lived out his life.

After being beaten three times leaving his back a disfigured mass of scars

After being shipwrecked

After being stoned and left for dead, face down in the dirt, a bloody pulp, more dead than alive

After being betrayed by his dearest friends

After living under relentless scandal

After appearing before the church bound in chains

After being thrown in prison after prison

Paul put his pen to paper and wrote in 2 Cor 4:8-9 “We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed, we are perplexed but not in despair, persecuted but not forsaken, struck down, but destroyed.

It is always too soon to quit

The bible does say those who begin will be saved, or even those who try will be saved.  Matt 24:13 reads He who endures to the end will be saved.

Perseverance produce champions, champions gain access to dominion, dominion is godly as, scriptures tell us “whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus”

Give up on every idea of quitting… right now! Champions force themselves to do what they don’t like, to do what must be done in the heat of competition.  I hear some of you saying I don’t want to live my life in constant competition.  Competition is not all about measuring yourself against another, it is about winning for the sake of the Kingdom.  Like or not there has been an ongoing competition since Adam took his first breath.  God has never proclaimed to be in competition with anything or anyone, but Satan has staked claim to compete against God, so we don’t have to proclaim to be in competition but for the glory of God our efforts should be aligned with the winning team and our eyes are to remain on the prize, which is the Kingdom of Heaven.

1 Corinthians 9:24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? The one to receive the prize is the body of believers standing as one against the won running against them.

Again, perseverance produces champions, making it always too soon to quit.
