183.Studio Ghibli: A Masterclass of Storytelling and Cinema | 'Spirited Away', 'Princess Mononoke'

Studio Ghibli is one of the most magnificent and influential studios in Cinema history. It was founded in 1985 by Toshio Suzuki, Isao Takahata, and Hayao Miyazaki. To give readers a brief insight into the depth of the studio\u2019s impact on film is this emotional tribute by ex-Chief Creative Officer of Pixar and Disney, John Lasseter, \u201cWhenever we get stuck at Pixar or Disney, I put on a Miyazaki film sequence or two, just to get us inspired again.\u201d The list of famous names attached to the films of Studio Ghibli\u2019s English dubbed versions is enormous. Some of the standouts include Patrick Stewart, Uma Thurman, Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, Dev Patel, Tom Holland, Saoirse Ronan, Kirsten Dunst, Tina Fey, Anne Hathaway, John Cho, Lucy Liu, Christian Bale, Claire Danes, Gillian Anderson, Jada Pinkett Smith, Billy Crudup, and Keith David. Five of Studio Ghibli\u2019s films feature on IMDb\u2019s Top Rated Movies list, and many of their movies regularly feature on top animated films and best movies of all times lists. Roger Ebert\u2019s website has a page dedicated to the Studio Ghibli collection, and in his four out of four stars praise of \u2018My Neighbor Totoro,\u2019 he states, \u201cWhenever I watch it, I smile, and smile, and smile.\u201d
