Brief Introduction to the story "The Dark Tower" - Orson Welles stars in this 1944 program. What makes this program appealing is that we get to hear Orson Welles acting as a pompous stage actor. There were probably many people in the audience who felt that he did not have to do much acting in this particular role. One interesting note is that in this show, a crime is committed and the person who committed the crime is not punished... in other words the story was very unusual for the period, when 'justice" generally meant that criminals, even in fictitious radio plays, always had to pay for their crimes. This episode will live in the "Horror - Suspense" Playlist
