My Friend Irma was a long-running radio situation comedy created by writer-director Cy Howard. The radio show was so popular in the late 1940s that its success resulted in the blossoming of films, television, a comic strip and a comic book based on the characters. The radio series began on CBS in April of 1947 and continued until August of 1954. In this story, a month before Thanksgiving, Irma brings home a turkey... a live turkey... her pet, but Jane was planning on eating the turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. Mrs. O'Riley, the landlady doesn't allow pets in her apartments... is the turkey a pet or Thanksgiving dinner?... The plot, and the gravy, thickens. This track will be stored in the Thanksgiving and the My Friend Irma Playlists.
