In 1919 Ripley started writing a "Believe it or Not" column for the New York Globe newspaper, and spent the rest of his life finding and sharing the strangest facts and stories from around the world. He produced and hosted a syndicated 60 sec radio version of the articles. He made over $500,000 a year during the Great Depression, but he employed many researchers, secretaries, people who would investigate the many, many leads as to oddities he was invited to explore. He built many museums, many of which are still around today. On this track you will hear two back-to-back 1 minute episodes with short old time radio commercials in between. The shows came from Nov 20, 21, 1936 and were entitled "Never Bitten" and "Empty Grave" respectively. This is first track from the series and will live in playlist "Believe it or not"
