The artistic entrepreneur known as Marlena \u201cZen Ase\u201d Johns has lived an adventurous life, raising twin sons, and teaching high school for twenty-six years in the inner city. Her poetry and prose can be found in over a dozen anthologies and magazines including, \u201c Let\u2019s Talk about Being Human,\u201d \u201cSelfhood,\u201d \u201cRestless,\u201d \u201cFive 2 One magazine\u201d, \u201cCaravel\u201d, and \u201cSwitchback\u201d.

Zen recently decided to include what she's learned from motivating students to help teens and adults accelerate mindset changes and replace limitations with possibilities. As of January 2023, she has created four books (three of them Amazon best sellers), a podcast- Zennurgy and a series of workshops.
