Folkie Fest founder Gail Field joins Gianna Volpe on The WLIW-FM Heart of The East End to talk tasty tunes coming to the Center Moriches Community Center on Feb. 12 during the Tasty Tuesday segment underwritten by Southampton Arts Center. Folkie Fest is an ongoing concert series with local acoustic artists in the spirit of folk music as envisioned by the late Pete Seeger. It supports live, local, singer/songwriters sharing their work. The events performed at the Moriches Bay Recreation Facility help support the Moriches Community Center. February’s show is entitled “Slip Sliding Away” and features five slide-ridin’ Long Island musicians.
