If you ask Chelsey, her first love wasn't a person: it was fentanyl.
"I was a young girl without a father figure, I didn't know what to do to get that connection and fill that void"
After years of living the life, and getting dragged into a situation that she wasn't a part of, she came to the realization that,
"My worldview was completely distorted, it wasn't real. I did things for everyone else but not for me."
and at some point,
"my will to live became stronger than my want to struggle. If I can do all that shit to be a gang member, I can apply that hustle to something legal & something of value."
Join us this week and listen to Chelsey's incredible story of going from the street to being a social work student in Saskatoon, SK this week, on Phoenix Fire.
