I Didn't Have an Off Switch: Recovering Alcoholic Tells Her Story. Phoenix Fire Episode 3

Published: April 20, 2022, noon

“I was who he said I was. If he said jump, I asked how high. I didn’t believe I measured up – a belief I’ve carried my whole life.”

Married right after high school and 2 kids shortly thereafter, Emily never had the opportunity to discover who she was as an individual. Co-dependency ruled her world. Several years into a dysfunctional marriage, alcohol entered the picture.

“I didn’t have an off-switch – it was just go until blackout every time.”

The marriage completely broke down and not long after, she found out through an email from her ex’s lawyer that she was losing her kids.

This is FAR from the entire story – you won’t want to miss Emily share her trials, tribulations, and ultimate triumph this week, on Phoenix Fire.
