He grew up western Washington State and retired from the Air Force in 2020 after nearly 23 years on active duty. He loves operating mountaintop portable while participating in Summits On The Air (SOTA). As of March 2024 he has over 135 activations. all of which are unique. He has a YouTube channel where he promotes portable QRP operating.
