As followers of Christ we have been given a promise. Not only have we been given the promise of the Holy Spirit to reside within us, but we have been given the promise of the Holy Spirit empowering us to accomplish the plan of God. Pastor Doug encouraged us with this teaching about the first empowerment of the Church and its relevance for us today.
