It is easy for us at this time of year to forget what it is important. We are so busy we are consumed with things that do not matter and our hearts and minds are not focused on what does. Pastor Doug shared with us a passage in Luke 2:1-7 where there were those who missed out on Christmas when Jesus was born. Some of them looked in the wrong places. Some looked for the wrong reasons. But those who found Christ truly experienced Christmas. Let us be encouraged as we focus on the only thing that matters at this time of year and at any time of the year, Christ who came near to us to offer us life.
