Economist at the National Competitiveness and Productivity Council (NCPC), Sharma Mathurin noted that due to the conflict in Ukraine and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic Saint Lucia\\u2019s economy has been directly impacted by supply chain issues resulting in shortages of essential items such as sugar.
