Operation Warp Speed and the Federal Effort to Accelerate COVID-19 Vaccine and Therapeutic Development

Vaccines can take up to 10 years to develop, and sometimes longer. But with the number of COVID-19 cases rapidly increasing and the catastrophic loss of life, the federal government has taken steps to accelerate this effort under Operation Warp Speed. What do these steps look like, and are they having an impact?
