In this sermon we begin our study of the Sermon on the Plain, Luke's record of the Sermon on the Mount that is recorded in Matthew (see Matthew 5-7). To begin our study of this all-important sermon, we examine the first Beatitude that Christ pronounced, "Blessed be ye poor, for yours is the Kingdom of God."
