154 - The Last Dragon

Hands down this is one of our favorite karate movies of all-time.  Full stop. In this episode we literally swoon over this entire movie,  beginning to end, and in our final thoughts our only complaint is that  we can\u2019t get more. Not only is it a great movie, but being produced by  Motown means it has the most amazing movie soundtrack ever.

Dominic explains his love of both Sho\u2019nuff and Richie. Melissa has a  few Laura moments over Taimak. John gives us all the details on Vanity.  This is a great episode for a fantastic movie.

\nMovie info\n

Premiered: March 22, 1985
\nDirected by: Michael Schultz
\nVery  accomplished before this movie. TONS of TV work. Directed Sgt. Peppers  Lonely Heart Club Band, a movie that includes music from the Beatles  album and Abbey Road set in a music comedy starring The Bee Gees.  Oh  and of course the 1976 classic Car Wash.
\n Written by: Louis Venosta (no wiki)
\nProduced by: Rupert Hitzig and Berry Gordy
\nWe  gotta talk about Barry Gordy. He is a legend. In fact, that is an  understatement. There are few people as important as Berry Gordy. He  discovered The Miracles. Then, with some coaching from The Miracles lead  singer Smoky Robinson, he founded Motown Records. He would then go on  to produce, write or compose music for The Temptations, The Supremes,  Marvin Gaye, The Commodores, Stevie Wonder, The Jackson 5, and Gladys  Knight & The Pips.
