We often think we are at war against darkness, but if we go to the cross we realize it has already been defeated. When Jesus is about to die, darkness comes over the land, and Jesus asks his Father why he has been forsaken. Then, in that moment, the temple curtain that separates all humanity from the presence of God was torn in half\\u2013no longer needed. Indeed, Jesus went all the way through darkness and out the other side so we could experience his light.
