What an amazing truth the star brings to us today. We could make the application that the brilliantly shining star in the sky was just an imagery that pointed to the brilliantly shining Son of God it was meant to point to. Jesus is the light of the world and the star helps us remember that truth! But it was more than an illustration, wasn\u2019t it? It was actually a reminder that the Lord doesn\u2019t leave us without directions pointing to His love and mercy and grace. The world around us certainly points us to God, but the cross, the grave and the believers in the cross and grave are \u201cshining lights\u201d pointing to the truth of the King of kings who came to bring us to heaven itself!
