For the most part we all understand that we have been created by God, and yet, we can even be more specific and say we were created by Jesus. We often call Jesus our \u201cRedeemer\u201d but we understand from God\u2019s Word that He is also our \u201cCreator\u201d. John 1:1-5 reminds us that Jesus is in fact, our Creator God saying that \u201call things came into being by Him\u201d, referring to Jesus. But Paul adds something to Jesus\u2019 status as our \u201cCreator\u201d when he reminds us that we were not only created \u201cthrough Him\u201d...but we were also created \u201cfor Him\u201d. In other words...He made us, therefore He owns us. Paul wrote in 1Corinthians 6 \u201cYou are not your own, you were bought at a price, therefore glorify God with your bodies.\u201d We are not our own. We are created by Him. We are purchased by Him. We belong to Him. We are His. And that has definite implications on how we live our lives in this world! We remember today then, in our life in Christ we have been \u201cCreated Through Him and For Him.\u201d
