Blessing Persecutors (Meyer)
Today we come to a mark of the Christian life that sets us apart from what people believe is \u201cnormal behavior\u201d. Most people will tell you \u201cIf someone hurts you...hurt them back.\u201d \u201cIf someone takes advantage of you...write them off.\u201d \u201cIf someone persecutes you...never speak to them again.\u201d But today we\u2019re reminded that Christians don\u2019t act that way. We\u2019re reminded that Christians don\u2019t hurt, write off or ignore those that persecute them, but we actually \u201cbless\u201d them instead. Blessing a persecutor? Yes...we remember today that blessing persecutors is God\u2019s will for our lives and is one piece in the beautiful tapestry of the Christian life!
