Rufus Norris\u2019s production Small Island has returned to the National Theatre's Olivier stage, chronicling the experiences of a couple of the Windrush generation. Another epic on the same stage, Our Generation, distills the experience, in their own words, of young people today. Rufus Norris, artistic director of the National Theatre, speaks about the role and responsibility of the National Theatre as we emerge from the pandemic.

Benedict Cumberbatch admitted to giving himself nicotine poisoning for his role in BAFTA-winning film The Power of the Dog. Joining Samira to discuss the practicalities as well as the impact of smoking on screen are actor and former president of the actors\u2019 union Equity, Malcolm Sinclair; Philippa Harte, set decorator for BBC period drama A Very British Scandal and Dr. Alex Barker, Lecturer in Psychology at the Nottingham Trent University.

During the first lockdown in 2020, when all the museums were closed, the poet Alison Brackenbury became Front Row\u2019s \u201cpoet in remote residence\u201d, sharing poems inspired by the museums we couldn\u2019t visit. Alison talks to Samira and reads from her new collection, Thorpeness.
