Speaker: Vince Klassen Most people would say you shouldn't steal, and yet, one of our greatest media heroes is Robin Hood - "Take (steal?) from the rich and give to the poor." So, is there a time and place for stealing? I think there is, and I'm going to show you! This week, I'm going to tackle the controversial topic of downloading movies and all the associated stuff (downloading music, US Netflix, or using a picture that you didn't pay for). Is it stealing? Is it right (not legally, but ethically)? Is this a Robin Hood issue (take from the rich and give to the poor?) And how does each of our unique lives and experiences impact our answer? And finally, what do we want to do about it? This one should be fun!! Ok, fun might be a bit of a stretch, we are going to have to think deeply about stuff and that might be a little uncomfortable . But I'm guessing my take on this might just surprise you a little bit.
