Ep. 027 - SSgt Joshua Fosberg

Published: Feb. 6, 2020, 2:25 p.m.

SSgt Joshua Fosberg is a Marine Infantryman that that hit the fleet and was immediately deployed to Iraq with 3/5. Josh's only training prior to deploying was what he received at the School of Infantry (SOI) and he was faced with his team leader being shot during their first week of patrols. Josh stayed with 3/5 for their next deployment to Iraq and also went on to complete a deployment on ship and as part of my advisor team in Sangin, Afg.

Josh is also an ultra marathoner who has taken part in multiple races. His next major event is May 15th and he will be running from the yellow footprints at Parris Island, SC to Onslow Beach on Camp Lejeune, NC to bring awareness to veteran suicide.

In addition to those two topics, we also discuss his career as an author and why he was forced to leave the infantry. Overall, a great interview that I think many people will appreciate.
