Svayam Prakash - self illuminating
\nknower - known - process of knowing: 3 aspects
\nConsciousness is all three.
\n"like Sun"
\nExamples:
\nsoapnut powder & dirt; world &dream; mother of pearl & silver; Bubbles in water; gold & ornaments
\nkirti-kanchana-kamini - three desires which bind us.
\nExample of kataka-nut: use a thorn to remove the thorn - throw them both away.
\nTiger in the dream also goes away.
\nWhy do people react the way they do when they have a bad dream and carry forward it to their waking state?
\n- Identity, vasanas, ignorance,
\nVasanas of the waking world projects the dream. In dream we don't create more samskaras or vasanas.
\nThree examples from Mundakopanishad:
\nSpider (material & efficient), earth (one, many), nails (sentient creating non-sentient)
\nDo dreams convey something important?
\nDo we see the differences from our vantage point today?
\nEmpathy will have powerfulness when we understand 'advaita' - not two;
