Particular attention will be made to exploring the reasons as to why the  presence of male bisexuality was largely omitted from the discourse surrounding Brokeback  Mountain, both from mainstream film critics and contemporary academics, identifying the  film as a turning point in the repudiation of the male bisexual from mainstream American  films.
