Dr. Charles W. Smith\xa0is the recently elected\xa0president of the University of Mobile. Prior to his presidency,\xa0he served as\xa0the Senior\xa0Vice president for Institutional Relations\xa0and\xa0Assistant\xa0Professor of Christian Leadership at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Spurgeon College in Kansas City, Missouri. Smith co-founded the\xa0\u201cFor the Church\u201d\xa0Institute and\xa0Conference, which provides free resources and online classes to thousands of students around the world. Smith and his wife Ashely are from Montgomery, Alabama,\xa0and have three daughters.
