16. Proving Yourself Right and Others Wrong with Martez Manuel, Nate Peat, Angie Azzanni, and Travis Craig

Published: Sept. 22, 2020, 3:25 p.m.

In episode 16, we interview Martez Manuel, Nate Peat, Angie Azzanni, and Travis Craig - alumni dynamic duo and co-directors of COR in Columbia, Missouri - in epic legacy fashion.

Martez Manuel and Nate Peat both play Division 1 football respectively at the University of Missouri and Stanford, but - as you’ll soon find in this episode - that’s only the most recent chapter of their wildly inspiring story that started when they met each other back in middle school. United through football, friendship, and the bond they developed through COR and YoungLife, Martez and Nate set out with purpose to live out the dreams they knew they were capable of achieving - even when the cards seemed to be stacked against them.

From midnight study sessions locked in their rooms to staying late after practice to run extra drills when their teammates had gone home, these guys cultivate motivation, discipline, and drive in ways some adults never discover. Now, you can catch Martez on the SEC Network while Nate makes his presence known as an offensive threat in the Pac-12.

That being said, we highly recommend this episode for anyone who has ever felt like the underdog. Why? Because Martez and Nate have both proven that success and self-improvement are attainable for those who put in the work and reject the excuses. In fact, there’s roughly a 100% chance you leave this podcast feeling inspired to pursue a meaningful legacy in your own life starting today.
