LGBTQ Films - Call Me by Your Name vs Carol

Published: April 2, 2021, 11 p.m.

This week on the Pod as, A World to Come will be hitting Netflix we thought it would be a great opportunity to talk our Favourite LGBTQ films, of which there are few, but incredibly good.

Warning we will be talking SPOLIERS

Boaz's pick this week is Luca Guadagnino's Call ME by Your Name. We mainly talk about why we would love to be in Italy right now and that everything is fine in Italy. We talk about how a director would actually direct actors in a movie like this. Plus about the horrible food abuse in this film. That poor egg. IMDB page

Martins pick this week is the Todd Haynes masterpiece that is Carol based on the Patricia Highsmith novel The Price of Salt. In this fifties set love story we talk about the incredible acting skills of both Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara and the rest of the cast. We talk about the incredible look this film has shot on 16mm film. You can probably guess who writes these show notes. IMDB page

As ever please enjoy the episode, we are very proud of this one.
