Senate poised to eliminate Pentagons third-highest ranking position

Last year, lawmakers signaled they planned to eliminate the position of DoD\u2019s Chief Management Officer unless they saw a good reason not to. The Senate apparently has not. The version of the Defense authorization bill the Senate Armed Services Committee released this week would give DoD two more years to get rid of the CMO\u2019s office.
