Marine Corps completes wall-to-wall barracks inspection. Heres whats next

For decades, the Marine Corps prioritized buying weapon systems over\xa0quality of life\xa0issues,\xa0which allowed the service to have\xa0enough data to justify its funding requests to purchase new weapon platforms when needed.\nIt was only recently that\xa0the service recognized it didn\u2019t track any information on the state of its barracks.\xa0\n\u201cWe didn\u2019t have the data to\xa0say\xa0how we are tracking the facility\u2019s condition in detail to defend more than $200 million a year\xa0for that.\xa0But we did have the data to say we need this force design weapon system\xa0or this\xa0modernized vehicle or this modernized weapon platform,\u201d Lt.
