b'From hoo-ha to dingaling, from foo foo to weiner, in almost every family there\\u2019s no shortage of safe words parents come up with to describe private parts to their kids.

In the family of award winning writer director Robert O\\u2019Hara, they called his fun stick \\u201cbootycandy,\\u201d so when he grew up he wrote a play called \\u201cBootycandy\\u201d that tells the coming of age story of young boy who has to learn what it means to grow up gay and black.

Today, Bootycandy writer director Robert O\\u2019Hara who has been described as a cross between Lenny Bruce, Richard Pryor and RuPaul joins us to talk about \\u201cBootycandy,\\u201d the cultural impact of Obama\\u2019s presidency, and how it\\u2019s Tyler Perry\\u2019s world and we are just living in it.

Also joining us is Chicago actor Osiris Khepera who like Tyler Perry plays a wide range of characters in the play.
