a.After several difficult seasons, Sale was better in 2023. He was a tad healthier, starting 20 games with 4.30 ERA (3.71 xERA) with nearly 11 K\u2019s per nine and a walk rate of 2.5. He\u2019s going into his 35th year. What can we expect in 2024?
b.He\u2019s going as the 70th pitcher off the board, #50th or so starter. Any interest?
c.Vaughn Grissom was blocked, and this does give him new life. His current ADP is 539 and is likely to go up. What round would you be grabbing him?
i.The data shows he\u2019s more of a line drive hitter with solid speed (far from elite \u2013 59% percentile), below-average exit velos, and excellent contact, but an overly aggressive approach.
2.The Reds sign Frankie Montas to a one-year $16 million deal. He missed most of last season but has shown flashes. What can we expect from him in 2024?
a.ADP is 533, or the 147th pitcher off the board.
3.The Red Sox signed Lucas Giolito to a two-year $38.5 million contract. It\u2019s been a tough couple of years for him. He\u2019s going as the 86th pitcher off the board \u2013 likely the 60th starter off the board. Any interest?
