I have never felt so emasculated as when I spoke with Chris Bombardier about his new documentary Bombardier Blood. Bombardier at the time of the filming of this documentary had already climbed five of the seven's world largest mountains.
\nWhat makes this documentary unique is that Bombardier is a hemophiliac. According to the Mayo Clinic, Hemophilia is a rare disorder in which your blood doesn't clot normally because it lacks sufficient blood-clotting proteins (clotting factors). What I found out thanks to Bombardier and director, Patrick James Lynch is that there are two types of hemophilia. Type A and Type B. Bombardier has Type A, while Lynch has Type B. The difference between the two is the type of proteins that are effected via the disorder.
\nBombardier was an aspiring baseball player, who once his hopes of going pro didn't pan out, he decided to become an adventurer.
\nWe spoke with Bombardier and Lynch about hemophilia, climbing Everest and what is next both for him and Lynch.
