Catalina Film Festival Co-Founder Ron Truppa Discusses the Return to In Person Festivities with TWO Events in Long Beach and Catalina Island, September 17 thru 19 and September 24 thru 26 respectively.
\nCatalina Film Festival is returning to in person activities with two live festival weekends and their online film festival during the mid-week, lasting 10 days in total.
\nLast year, Catalina Film Festival was able to make due with a virtual film festival and the very first drive thru red carpet that almost felt like a car club rolling in. Legendary actor and everyone's favorite karate villain, Martin Kove was honored with the Career Tribute Award, making sure that year 10 was solidified as an event worth remembering.
\nNow that we are able to return to in person activities, Catalina Film Festival is not shying away from getting everyone together and bringing the fun back to the island as Co-Founder, Ron Truppa discusses the significance of the island to cinema, how it was historically Hollywood's local getaway oasis and why it is so important to keep that legacy alive.
