Gisela Adisa is an American actress who stars as John Adams in Diane Paulus' Broadway tour of '1776\u2019 and most recently opening at the Ahmanson, 'Lights Out' opposite Dul\xe9 Hill at the Geffen Playhouse, Harvard's American Repertory Theater and the Kennedy Center in D.C.. She played Sandra in the U.S. Grand Jury Prize: Dramatic award winner, 'Nanny', which premiered at Sundance '22 and also starred in the award winning indie film, 'Shield.\u2019
Recent projects include a role in the #1 Netflix hit heist series, 'Kaleidoscope' as well as in the Starz Network hit, 'Power Book III: Raising Kanan,\u2019 with Mario Van Peebles directing.
Adisa was born of Caribbean and West African immigrants.
