Cass & Bob interview April. She\u2019s not fully \u201cout\u201d so we don\u2019t use her last name or photo. April\u2019s story is about the tragic affect of a literal Hell. \xa0A large portion of Christians read the scriptures literally. And today\u2019s show highlights the dangers of doing so and the damage that is done by those unable or unwilling to approach the text with metaphorically. April was traumatized by the concept of a literal Hell well into her adult years. This is the appropriate reaction by genuinely empathetic people. A strong belief in Hell will eventually rob you of your soul, leaving a shell of a heartless zombie who has no choice but to subconsciously devalue lost people just to maintain the illusion that you\u2019re a decent human being and that your God is not a monster. It has done immeasurable damage to every society it\u2019s ever touched.
