Born in Trinidad of Indian and Irish-Scottish descent and Canadian for now
over 50 years, I traveled extensively to study and trained in many of the
world’s spiritual traditions. I’ve practiced and taught oriental and traditional
medicine for 40 years and raised and home-schooled 4 amazing children.
My family and I are guardians of Heartroot Farm in Quebec, Canada
(www.heartroot.com), a place of respite and refuge on 240 acres of mostly
woodland at the northern end of the Appalachian Mountains on the border
between Quebec and Maine, where we teach and live Earth-based spirituality.
In these times of transition, I’ve also been called to specific places on the earth
where I often work with others to clear imprints of bloodshed and violence
from the past, facilitating the birthing of a new planetary consciousness.
An ever greater part of my work has become the sharing of my experiences
(and the teachings that come from them) via the written word, with the
intention of encouraging others to listen to their guidance, no matter how
crazy they have been trained to think this is…. (I also find this easier and more
ecologically responsible than flying around the globe to teach workshops,
although I am thoroughly Sagittarian and love to travel!). I have written for
several magazines over the years, and work as an editor and translator as
well… www.dawnbramadat.wordpress.com
I’ve been called teacher, guide, Grandmother, healer, witch, midwife, shaman,
Earth-speaker and troublemaker….Take your pick…
