In 1973, in an article in\xa0Spaceflight, the magazine of the\xa0British Interplanetary Society\xa0(BIS), he said he had identified and deciphered a hidden\xa0radio\xa0message sent by an alien\xa0space probe that had been caught but overlooked in the late 1920s by researchers who were studying the\xa0long delayed echo\xa0effect.\xa0Some considered\xa0the probe might have been sent by an earlier unknown Earth civilization, which was destroyed in the biblical cataclysm that destroyed the fables Atlantis.
