I don’t know really what to say about this episode other than everyone should listen to what Dora has to share. For me this was easily one of the most special interviews I will have along the entire road trip. We talk about life in St. Francis on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Dora did an incredible job sharing her story and talking about the good, bad, and ugly side of life on the reservation. It was a conversation I walked away from wishing I had more time, wishing I would’ve asked more questions, different questions and all sorts of things. Specifically when she brought up human trafficking that happens down here. I don’t know I just wasn’t prepared for that conversation to come up. I wish I would’ve asked her to go deeper because reflecting on the conversation it’s something that is heavy on her mind but at the moment I was taken off guard and just failed to ask. Just listen to Dora’s words. Listen to this one. Thank you, Dora. Today (August 9) is World Indigenous People’s Day which I only found out after I had spoke with Dora. Total happy coincidence but so happy to have Dora join the podcast today.
