Welcome Delora Guerro from Santa Fe, New Mexico to the show! I met Delora this afternoon in Santa Fe Plaza where she was selling her handmade Navajo jewelry. In our conversation Delora explains how she got into the trade of silver smithing, her life growing up poor on the reservation, her grandmother, her father, raising her granddaughter, getting her college degree in her 60's and more! She left us with some words her father used to say to her in his language of Navajo. He would point to the night sky and say, "Do you see that star up there? Keep reaching for that star. One day you are going to catch that star." Her message is to keep going, keep trying. Catch that star!
