Jason joined the Army as an infantryman in 2009 and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2012. 4-months into his deployment he stepped on a 15lb IED that resulted in the loss of both his legs and severe damage to his right hand. After learning to walk again and gaining the use of his hand in rehab \u2013 he retired in 2014 and moved to Chattanooga. He is married with 2 children and now works for a non-profit, Catch A Lift Fund, helping veterans get into shape through activity, nutrition, and emotional wellness.
