In the Old Testament, God\u2019s spirit worked thru a select group of men called priests, these men served as mediators between God & his people because the average person didn\u2019t have a direct line to God, only the priests did!\xa0 But when Jesus came along, he turned the religious culture upside down, because he started making these revolutionary statements to ordinary, non-priestly people. on the day of pentecost, a whole bunch of non-priestly, ordinary people who had walked with Jesus were huddled in a room to pray and the book of Acts records that a seismic shift happened. The message from God was clear, "From this day forward, everyone who follows Christ has access\xa0to God".
