The song I have sent you this week is about my favourite mountain\u2026.I wrote it back in the day for an album I produced for my pal Paul Damian\u2026who sings it. I came up with the inspiration after one of my many climbs up Mount Snowdon in Wales\u2026as it is always the first thing you say when you get there and get your breath back\u2026.there are a few different ways up there and I\u2019ve done them all on several occasions\u2026I\u2019ve even put a video about it on Youtube\u2026.standing on the top is a wonderful experience with spectacular views.\n\nThe news this week has been blanket coverage of the terrible terror attacks in Belgium\u2026..we need to know the details of this sort of thing but doubt whether constant repetition of the same pictures and reporting actually helps\u2026and the politicians using the situation to question our membership of the EU etc\u2026it all gets completely out of hand\u2026like most people I\u2019m at the stage where I haven\u2019t a clue as to what is actually going on anymore\u2026all we get is conflicting opinions from publicity seeking politicians\u2026they can\u2019t ALL be right\u2026someone has to be lying. My heart goes out to the poor folk of Belgium who innocently got caught up in all this\u2026I don\u2019t know what the answer is.\n\nWe discussed him last week .. but let\u2019s take our hats off and salute Eddie Izzard for completing 27 marathons in 27 days\u2026TWO of which were on the last day\u2026.in an interview he said he now needs to do one or two a month to keep his fitness up\u2026.absolutely incredible\u2026and Kelly Holmes has been on TV\u2026she is making a comeback as a marathon runner\u2026she has been out of the game for seven years when she retired from athletics\u2026I must say I have keenly watched athletics since Roger Bannister ran the 4 minute mile in the 50\u2019s so I have seen a lot..BUT the best race I have ever seen was Kelly Holmes winning a gold in the 800 metres in 2004\u2026sheer guts\u2026I was out of my chair\u2026.since then she has done a lot for charity\u2026hence her knighthood.\n\nThe Sport Relief raised 55 million pounds\u2026let\u2019s hope it all goes to the right place.\n\nLadies tennis hit the headlines this week\u2026.some official had to resign after making sexist comments about the ladies\u2026and as we know sexism is a one way street\u2026as the \u201cLoose Women\u201d programme illustrates\u2026they can say what they like and that\u2019s O.K\u2026.this guy said ladies tennis has been hanging on the shirt tails of mens tennis for years\u2026and Jocovich has added the men should get more money than the women\u2026.so all the girls are up in arms led by the Williams sisters.\n\nThe answer is simple\u2026make the women play best of 5 sets instead of three\u2026on second thoughts I don\u2019t think I could stand more than three sets\u2026.I remember Pat Cash saying that people would rather watch him knocking up than watch a ladies tennis match\u2026couldn\u2019t agree more\u2026.it\u2019s like saying anyone who works three days should get the same as someone who works five. It\u2019s time the ladies got over themselves\u2026I wish them every success with their football,rugby and cricket but it aint for me\u2026or most people\u2026which is shown by the attendances\u2026.good job I don\u2019t work in sport eh?\n\nBear Grylls has a programme on TV called \u201cMission Survive\u201d which is another one of those accidents waiting to happen\u2026.the whole thing is really a platform to show how tough Bear is.\u201dlook at me\u2026I\u2019m so macho\u201d\u2026he puts celebs through a series of survival tasks which could have serious consequences if they go wrong\u2026.I can\u2019t really see the point\u2026.are these celebs that hard up? I gave up on it half way through the second episode\u2026there should be a doctor on hand to see if the contestants actually have a brain........\u2026.and great news!!!...Britains Got Talent is coming back\u2026.hosted by Ant and Dec\u2026.this will follow Saturday Night Takeaway featuring Ant and Dec\u2026after all this we\u2019ll have I\u2019m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here\u2026hosted by Ant and Dec\u2026.I keep expecting the pair of them to turn up in the back of my car\u2026.is there no escape?\n\nIf nothing else they prove that you can make a fortune with no talent whatsoever\u2026they should form a trio with Cheryl Cole.
