We Couldn't Understand the Peace

In 1972, a group of women fled Belfast, with their children, to take refuge in Glenstal Abbey. They came from trauma and violence to an exclusive boys\u2019 boarding-school run by Benedictine monks in rural East Limerick. The children were described as \u201crude and bold\u201d. It was a clash of cultures that the monks managed with one simple rule\u2026 (2016)
