If there's anything the past 2 years have taught us, it's that things don't always go according to plan. In addition to a global pandemic, here are just a few of the issues our colleagues have had to deal with recently (in no particular order):\n\n- Contracting Covid\n- Illness of a family member requiring your care\n- Working from home instead of an office\n- Moving house under lockdown restrictions\n- Accident resulting in broken bone or other disabling injury\n- New baby\n- House fire\n- Difficulty finding a new home\n- Sick pet\n- Loss of childcare\n- Death of a loved one\n- Increased costs of necessities such as medication or fuel\n- Illness requiring surgery\n- Actual war breaking out in your country\n- Kids home all day to homeschool\n- Loss of primary or supplementary income\n\nJust reading that list might stress you out, or it might make you think "HOLY CRAP I'M A WARRIOR!" One thing is for sure - we can't predict the future and we can't prevent the universe from throwing us a curve ball.
