Welcome to Dissecting This Fiction! It's episode 19, so come join along as my Co-host (Jessica) and I (Steven) go over the latest in movies, tv shows, and games.
\nWhat's On The Exam Table?
\nIn gaming, the Coronavirus seems to be impacting some companies in the gaming industry. Ubisoft claims to have a handful of AAA titles to launch in the next year. Could an Assassin's Creed be one of them? Sony adds the Playstation 5 to their website. The Coalition loses a Rockstar to Blizzard for the DIablo franchise, oh and Rockstar loses one of those too! Jessica discovers cardio may finally have a benefit to gamers. Finally, Atari is making a comeback... in the hotel market?
\nWe also added in a special section for all of those special someone's on Valentine's Day. Movies, TV, and Games that would be fun to share together. Don't worry, though, even singles can enjoy it all too!
\nIn Television, Amazon steals an employee from Sony in the streaming wars. Bob Iger of Disney, reveals the release windows for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, The Mandalorian, and Wandavision. It's sooner than you think! The Witcher adds a couple characters for Season 2. Netflix got their shit together and started listening to customers. Let's make more demands! Castlevania returns to Netflix with a third season. Chris Pratt returns to television, but no, it isn't a Parks and Rec reunion. We could only wish. Finally, Resident Evil got an update for the Netflix series, or did it? We finish up with our early impressions of Brooklyn 99's newest season on NBC.
\nIn trailers, we go over Spiral: From the Book of Saw and Fantasy Island. Horror is taking over, it seems.
\nIn movies, Silent Hill and Fatal Frame maybe getting movie adaptations? See...horror is taking over! Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley got together...for a movie called Chaos Walking and it's apparently old news. Marvel maybe mingling with Sony's ex, Sam Raimi, for Doctor Strange 2. Not cool or is it? Christian Bale rumors continue for Thor Love and Thunder and now John Krasinski is getting into the rumor mill, isn't that Fantastic!? Remember that Knives Out sequel? Might be moving faster than expected.
\nWe finish our episode with movie reviews for Just Mercy and Birds of Prey And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn. Come on DC, that's a bit much for a title. We'll just say Birds of Prey.
