Welcome to Dissecting This Fiction! Its episode 28, so come join along as my Co-host (Jessica) and I (Steven) go over the latest in movies, tv shows, and games.\nWhat's On The Exam Table?\n

In gaming, Borderlands 3 lets you play video games in the name of science! We talk about Sony issuing refunds people may not even want, and discuss features of the PS5 DualSense controller. Google Stadia came around and offered us something for free, and Xbox changed some features to prepare for the next gen launch. Confirmations were made for when CyberPunk 2077 release is happening, and Saints Row 3 had a pretty cool announcement which may or may not involve a purple dildo bat. The ESA finally gave up on any iteration of E3 this year, while their previous marketing team (iam8bit) has teamed up with Button Mash to offer Quarantine Boredom Packs. Jessica offers some insight after playing Totally Reliable Delivery Service, Two Point Hospital, and Death Squared (games new to Game Pass this month). Steven breaks down his experience playing the Resident Evil 3 remake.

In TV news, we've got info on Quibi's launch, and an update on Disney plus. Apple TV plus decided to jump on the free stuff bandwagon, and we let you know what they're offering. Disney shifts gears for their mid-tier to smaller budget films, opting to skip theatrical releases on some movies. Doogie Houser is getting a reboot of sorts, with a couple twists. Space Force will take us to total space dominance on Netflix in May, and Tiger King is going to remain the reigning king of all pop culture, with possibly two series in the works. We also watched Episode 8, hosted by Joel McHale. We also give spoiler-free reviews on Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 10, but refrained from opening up any spite stores so far. Steven found a show to match the unique interests of someone who likes samurais and cats. We watched a large handful of shows on Quibi and we'll tell you all about the shows in this episode: Most Dangerous Game, Dish-mantled, 50 States of Fright, Agua Donkeys, Flipped, Chrissy's Court, and Survive. We also checked out trailers for upcoming Quibi shows: Reno 911, Barkitecture (yes, it's exactly what it sounds like), and Dummy.

For Movies, we watched the trailers for Extraction (Netflix), and The Jack in the Box (VOD). In movies, we discussed where you can find the Simpsons short film which was playing before Onward in theaters, just in case you missed it in theaters (we did!). Speaking of Onward, we've got news on a prequel (kind of), and a board game which will be produced based on that movie. Disney also found another animal musical movie to remake in live-action (this one might get complicated, since they wear clothes). Twitter watch parties are all the rage these days and we got a ton of info on Rocket being more important to Guardians 3, which, by the way doesn't have any date changes (neither does Suicide Squad) as of yet. Space sharks -- are you interested? We are too! Just wait for Thor Love and Thunder, and we have more details released on that too. Scorsese's next film is expected to go to a streaming service again, and we have confirmation a streaming service is interested in Atomic Blonde 2 as well. Birds of Prey changed direction and is now offered for rental instead of only sales, with a much easier price point. My Spy was picked up by a streaming giant but we're not sure when it'll be released. Jessica watched On The Basis of Sex (using our 30 day trial of Showtime!), and both of us lay out our feelings about Harry Potter... erm, we mean Daniel Radcliffe, in his recent movie Guns Akimbo with Samara Weaving.
