This was supposed to be my 5-minute-keynote at #ITB2020, revolving around the analogies between the myth of Prometheus, Friedrich Nietzsche, and #artificialintelligence.
It would have been my first time as a speaker at the German event; I was so excited that I've spent weeks tweaking the speech, rewriting it and rehearsing it.
We all know what happened, and even though it's not up to me to judge the decision to cancel the event, yet, I cannot help but feel a little sad about the whole thing.
I feel particularly sorry for the hard work that Daniel Zelling and Anja Bredemeier put in organizing what was likely to be an amazing panel with amazing people: David Turnbull (techtalk travel), Ian Di Tullio (Accor), Stefan Matthiessen (Koncept Hotels), and Christian Schwarz Lausten (Airbnb).
Well, life goes on, but I thought that, after all the work, you might be interested in listening to it.
So here we go: a recording of me rehearsing the speech (sorry for the quality, this was never supposed to be published...).
I hope you enjoy it.
See you in 2021!
